Myatt & Co - Meet the Team

Mary is dead keen on everything that goes on in schools.

She wanted to capture conversations with colleagues doing interesting work in education. People who are thinking hard about the curriculum, people who are working with our vulnerable pupils, people who are prepared to try new things.

So she set up Myatt & Co.

When she’s not online or in meetings, she spends time on the allotment with the Mini Myatts.

Fran looks after the operations and flow of Myatt & Co and supports the team.

If there’s the opportunity to create a spreadsheet to formalise the procedure and simplify the data she’s on it.

Fran is the one on the end of all your emails.

When not at her desk she can be found folding origami, writing haikus (will write on request) or walking in the Welsh hills.

Dom is a graphic designer and art director specialising in branding. She’s behind the creative of Myatt & Co - from coming up with the name to the look and feel of the brand.

When not coming up with new ideas in her studio in Bristol, she’s speeding around on her pink Raleigh racer, dipping into art galleries or planning her next trip to the sea.

Karina develops and maintains every tech aspect of Myatt & Co., creating solutions for all requirements - the more challenging the better.

She runs a digital support and web design studio in Berlin.

After hours she can be found exploring the city's art & music scenes or sitting in dog parks (she doesn't own a dog).

Andrew has an unhealthy obsession with all things leadership, especially finding out about all the stuff that he doesn’t actually know, which is lots.

This is why he now runs his own company (Makana Leadership) so that he can help other leaders get better through coaching and support.Talking with really interesting and inspiring people about their leadership journeys and passions is what he enjoys most about Myatt & Co.

When not at work, Andrew spends too much time watching football (Liverpool FC), but gets it spot on when walking for hours with his family and dog.

Iain is an experienced school and local authority education leader, running the successful and popular Peterborough Learning Partnership on behalf of Peterborough City Council between 2010-2018 before establishing The Learning Partnership.

When he is not running the Learning Partnership you’ll find him with his family, in the garden or out for a walk.

Jill loved being a head, but since stepping back from headship in 2010 and getting involved in different kinds of leadership development work, she finds she loves the balance in her life even more.

She's especially enjoyed interviewing a range of edu-authors for Myatt & Co. Reading about, writing about and talking about education still lights her fire!

When she isn't on Twitter, she can usually be found sitting in the sun somewhere reading a good novel.

John taught in secondary schools for 33 years and for 18 of those years he was a headteacher.

Having begun working in a sixth form college, he now thinks the real work goes on in Early Years!

His pacemaker reminds him every day of his own mortality, so, before it is too late, he is keen to both learn more about the best that is going on in our schools and to offer to the next generation of people working in the education sector any snippets of wisdom he may have gleaned from his time teaching.

He pursues salmon when not working, but so far he has only ever caught one of them.

Lekha is a Head of School who takes an active interest in all things education and loves to collaborate with colleagues to explore approaches that make the biggest impact on pupils in the classroom.

When she’s not at school, she loves spending time travelling and exploring new places, reading a good book or being a big kid with her daughter!

Rachel is passionate about everything curriculum and advocating for those whose voices are not always heard.

She was incredibly excited to be invited by Mary to support her work on Myatt & Co. This work has enabled her to meet some exceptional humans,expanding both her professional knowledge and views.

When not Edu-geeking Rachel can be found on a Tor somewhere on Dartmoor with her husband and three children.

Steve has been involved in English teaching in a variety of roles for over 35 years. He is relishing the opportunity to talk to big hitters in this field through his work for Myatt and Co.

Steve has been involved in English teaching in a variety of roles for over 35 years. He is relishing the opportunity to talk to big hitters in this field through his work for Myatt and Co.

He's also taking the opportunity to explore some of his other interests -in curriculum and coaching matters -and enjoys making links between them all.

As well as spending time with his family, Steve also loves walking his ancient labradoodle, drinking coffee and worrying about Leeds United.
